Expert civil engineering and construction consulting at the intersection of technical excellence and legal clarity.
Steven Ireland is one of the nation’s most experienced civil engineering and construction consultants, with a career spanning more than three decades of hands-on involvement in the country’s most demanding infrastructure projects — highways, bridges, dams, tunnels, ports, and major heavy civil construction.
Steven’s career has taken him through every phase of major construction: from initial design review and bid analysis through construction management, quality control, schedule oversight, and final project closeout. He has worked alongside contractors, owners, engineers of record, subcontractors, and government agencies — giving him a rare 360-degree perspective on how construction projects succeed, and how and why they fail.
That experience is precisely what makes Steven such an effective expert witness. When he takes the stand — or sits for a deposition — he doesn’t speak in theoretical terms. He speaks from decades of real-world construction experience, and juries, arbitrators, and opposing counsel recognize the difference.
Steven has prepared and delivered expert witness opinions in depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and jury trials covering construction defect cases, delay and disruption claims, construction safety incidents, highway accidents, premises liability matters, and professional liability disputes in civil engineering.
